Police arrested and questioned a former Labour councillor with Doncaster MBC about expense claims he made.

The Yorkshire Post (6 June, p2) reported that David Jobes,a councillor from the late 1980s until last month's elections, was released on bail following interogation.

Two serving Doncaster councillors, Mick Collins and Jack Riley, have already been arrested and charged in connection with allegedly false expense claims.
