Our round-up of the latest job moves and appointments.
Leicestershire CC’s deputy chief executive and director of corporate resources is to retire. Brian Roberts has worked at Leicestershire for 12 years and served as president of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy last year, having held the same role with the Society of County Treasurers and the Association of Local Government Treasurers. Mr Roberts, who will leave the council at the end of March, previously held roles at Staffordshire and Hampshire County CCs, and Richmond upon Thames LBC.
Sean McLaughlin has been appointed managing director of the arms-length management organisation that manages Haringey LBC’s housing stock. Mr McLaughlin, who will take up the role on 3 April, is currently corporate director, housing and adult social services at Islington LBC.

Judith Kirk will take over North Yorkshire CC’s education and skills service. Ms Kirk, who has has been appointed as assistant director following the retirement of Paul Brennan, is currently deputy director for education, employment and skills at Bradford MDC.
Stephen Young will join Lancashire CC as executive director of growth, environment, transport & community services. Mr Young will join the council in April from Bolton MBC, where he is director of place.
