Elvery set for interim chief post

  • Comment

Croydon LBC is set to appoint an interim chief executive for up to 12 months.

Deputy chief executive Nathan Elvery is expected to take over when Jon Rouse leaves next month, subject to confirmation at a 26 February council meeting.

The year-long interim appointment would take the borough round to its next set of all out elections due in May 2014.

He was previously Croydon’s finance director and has worked at Westminster City Council and the former Greater London Authority.

Mr Rouse is leaving after six years to become director general of social care, local government and care partnerships at the Department of Health.
