Swansea council has published a wish list of enhanced payments they would like to abolish.
Proposals presented to unions include changes to sick pay, weekend pay, overtime pay and a number of allowances and supplements.
City & County of Swansea set out its plans for a number of changes as part of its single status work.
Chief executive Paul Smith wrote to staff and said: “Many of these terms and conditions have been agreed over the past 40 or so years with little or no record or control. As a result our terms and conditions are complex, inconsistent and outdated.”
The changes are intended to save the council money, although no calculations have been made “in order to ensure that there is no suggestion that the council is seeking to pre-determine the outcome of negotiations”, Mr Smith told LGC.
Trade unions are set to respond to the council’s initial negotiating position next month.
