Slough BC’s chief executive Ruth Bagley is set to lose her job, LGC understands.

An extraordinary council meeting, due to take place in private next Thursday, only has one item on its agenda – the “severance payment to chief executive”.

LGC reported in August how Ms Bagley had been suspended pending an investigation.

A council spokesman said: “A report on the future of the council’s chief executive will be going to an extraordinary full council meeting on Thursday 22 December at Chalvey community centre.

“A statement will be released after the meeting.”

Ms Bagley was appointed Slough’s chief executive in 2007, having served as South Hams DC’s chief executive since 2000. Before that she was an executive director at North Dorset DC.
