The Western Mail (p2) reports that Powys CC's welfare rights officer, Iwan Fox, who represented two people suffering from mobility and care problems has won them extra money after successful tribunals in Ebbw Vale and Hereford. The two, who are not named, will receive incapacity benefit and disability allowances worth more than£2,000 a year, with one year's backdated benefit.

Fox is quoted: 'We felt that these people had experienced severe problems with their personal care and mobility needs, and that the decisions from the department of social security not to award them the appropriate benefit was wrong.'
