Welsh secretary William Hague is being asked to support proposals for a technology-based 'industrial village' in South Wales, the Financial Times reports (p8).

The pilot project aims to create 900 jobs in the next six years, helping to revive the fortunes of the former coalfield of the Dulais Valley.
