Scotland's small band of Tory MPs ran the gauntlet of an angry crowd in Edinburgh yesterday, as they attended the Scottish Grand Committee meeting of Scotland's MPs, reports The Glasgow Herald (p4).

They were greeted by 200 trade unionists angry at council budget cuts and a number of Skye bridge protesters. At one point Scottish secretary Michael Forsyth was almost knocked to the ground as the crowd surrounded him.
