Camden LBC is considering a 'pub for street drinkers' as part of a crackdown on drunks congregating on street corners.

A spokesman said a consultation on the 'street population' found residents were more distressed by street drinkers than anything else. He said a pub offering 'supermarket prices' might attract street drinkers who could not afford normal pub prices off the streets.

A report based on the consultation said: 'Ideas include a pub for street drinkers with entertainment facilities - TV etc - as well as advice on health and diet.'
