PricewaterhouseCoopers, the world's largest accountancy firm, is nearing a decision on a radical reorganisation that could see the group split into three, reports The Financial Times (p23).

The three parts would broadly comprise accountancy and audit, consultancy and the firm's remaining activities, which mostly involve tax, legal and human resources services.

Nothing has been finalised but a decision by executives is thought likely within a month and would then need the approval of the firm's 10,000 partners.
