Mid Glamorgan CC is worried that rail privatisation could mean that the £3m which it is currently spending - with European help - on new signals and track work in the Taff Valley will fail to bring in more trains.

The Western Mail (p5) reports that the council is worried that new private rail companies may not operate extra train services, despite the improvements to the track.
