Reigate and Banstead BC is the 1997 LGC Management Game champion.

The Surrey borough beat stiff competition from nine other teams at last Friday's final, which was staged at Bradford City Hall - the first time the final has left London in its 22-year history.

Close behind Reigate and Banstead was the team from Southwark LBC. In bronze medal position was the team from Angus Council.

Reigate and Banstead captain Peter Nourse said: 'Our chief executive, Martin Bacon, is over the moon. He was a winner with Chichester in 1978. We've entered a number of competitions and come second or third - this is the first time we've won.'
