A district council chief has expressed 'extreme disappointment' at proposed redundancy and compensation payments for staff affected by reorganisation, the Western Mail reports (p6).

Alyn and Deeside DC chief executive Dewi Salisbury said: 'There seems no justification for local government staff to be treated worse than employees in other comparable organisations.'
