The Yorkshire Post (p8) reports on residents of North Yorkshire's largest housing estate who have called a truce in a series of disputes with Scarborough BC.

Eastfield tenants' and residents' association lost their grant two months ago after a series of rows with Scarborough BC, which says that the association is being manipulated by a minority to lobby support for various local schemes.

The council has refused to fund the association any longer because of concerns about its administration and whether decisions were being properly approved by the main committee.

Councillors will consider their response to the peace plea at a housing meeting on Monday.
