Clwyd CC Labour group, Anglesey BC and Rhyl town council are all, according to the Evening Standard (p8) suing Welsh Office minister Rod Richards for libel over his infamous remarks about Welsh Labour councillors.

Clwyd cllr David Faulds said:

Rhyl town council, with all-party support, has contacted the Association of Town Councils for North Wales to recommend that they all launch actions, Clwyd economic development vice chair David Faulds told the paper.

'And the leader of our Labour group has urged the leaders of the other county councils to do the same.'

But the Standard says that Richards is impressively unconcerned.

'It's a pity Labour does not make better use of its time and council tax payers' money. I have not taken legal advice. I don't see the need.'
