Six rural local authorities in Wales have joined forces with the West Wales Energy Efficiency Advice Centre in an initiative aimed at saving energy, reports The Western Mail (p8).

The Consortium for Energy Efficiency for Rural Wales has a long-term objective of improving energy efficiency by 30%, in a drive to save householders money and reduce the impact on the environment.

Residents in the Isle of Anglesey, Gwynedd, Powys, Ceredigion, Carmarthen and Pembrokeshire can obtain free advice by contacting the organisation. The website address is www.ceerw.org.uk.
