The inner London comprehensive rejected by Labour MP Harriet Harman for the education of her own child has reinvented itself with the help of a public relations firm.

The Times (p8) reports that William Penn school has renamed itself the Dulwich High School for Boys and imposed a new dress code on pupils.

Southwark LBC spokesman John Harrison, told the paper that a decline in demand for places at the school predated the Harman controversy.

'The publicity didn't help. We want to send out the message that Dulwich High has a lot to offer,' he said.
