A report to be published this week says that as many as two million British children are suffering ill health because of malnutrition, reports Radio Four's Farming Today programme.

The Hunger Within, a report by the school milk campaign, found that tuberculosis is now more common than whooping cough and that children are suffering from rickets in Edinburgh, Birmingham, Dudley and Glasgow.

The government blames the government for ending free school milk and free or subsidised school meals.
