Doncaster MBC member Jack Riley has been arrested and questioned by police in the inquiry into alleged expenses abuses at the council.

He is the second Labour member to be arrested. Michael Collins was questioned by police last month. No charges have been laid.

Mr Riley is the sixth Labour group member to be suspended, after former leader Peter Welsh, former deputy Ray Stockhill, Peter Birks, Bill Gillies and Mr Collins.

Mr Riley said he had 'nothing to say whatsoever'.
