Kent CC’s director of adult social services is to leave the authority ahead of the introduction of its new management structure.
The council said Oliver Mills would leave his post of managing director of adult social services at the end of next month.
Council leader Paul Carter (Con) said Mr Mills had made a big contribution to the authority’s work.
“It is clear if you look at the good reports from the Care Quality Commission that he has made a very positive impact in Kent and I wish him every success with whatever he chooses to do in the future,” he said.
Mr Mills thanked colleagues and partner organisations for their assistance over his 27 years at the council.
“I am very proud of all that has been achieved, and I leave knowing that the way we deliver care and support puts Kent in a very strong position to tackle the challenges ahead,” he said.
“I hope to continue to make a contribution to adult social care as I pursue new opportunities.”
Kent director of children’s services Rosalind Turner will also leave the authority ahead of the implementation of its new management structure.
