Social care green paper due in summer

The social care green paper will not be published until the summer, the government has said.

Originally announced by chancellor Philip Hammond in the March Budget, the green paper had  initially been expected this autumn. 

The first secretary of state Damian Green said: “In developing the green paper, it is right that we take the time needed to debate the many complex issues and listen to the perspectives of experts and care users, to build consensus around reforms which can succeed.”
