Sustainability and transformation partnerships have been allocated £2.6bn of capital investment in the Budget.
The government say the money, which is a share of the £3.5bn new capital funding earmarked for the NHS up to 2020-21, will enable STPs to meet demand for local services, deliver integrated and out of hospital care, and reduce waiting times.
The first 12 schemes to receive funding have also been announced.
The remainder of the money has been earmarked for supporting turnaround plans in trusts “facing the biggest challenges” and efficiency programmes.
The Budget also included an extra £42m for the disabled facilities grant this year to support people to stay in their own homes, raising the total budget to £473m.
