Unitary director to head planning service

Planning Officers Society president Anna Rose has been appointed head of the Planning Advisory Service (PAS).

She will move to the service on 21 August from her present role as director of growth, economy and culture at Milton Keynes Council where she has worked since 2014, having previously spent seven years as head of planning and culture at Rugby BC.

Ms Rose takes over from Alice Lester, who has become head of planning, transport and licensing at Brent LBC.

The PAS provides, advice, support and training on planning and service delivery to councils as part of the Local Government Association’s sector-led improvement work.
