Nottinghamshire County Council will this week decide whether a 10-year-old pupil should be allowed to continue in mainstream education after a number of instances where he threatened and attacked pupils and teachers, the Mail on Sunday reported (p16).

The boy has been taught in isolation for the past six weeks, and teachers have warned they will go in strike if education and welfare officers back the school governors' views that he should remain at the school.
