A former social services client who stalked Ealing LBC social workers for more than three years has been jailed.

Brentford County Court imposed a four-month sentence on Richard Jan after he was convicted of breaching a court order restraining him from harassing, threatening or assaulting Ealing staff.

The judge warned any further harassment could result in a lengthy jail sentence, as an injunction against him still stands. Ealing social services chair Liz Brookes said: 'This man has been persistently pestering and stalking our staff. This . . . resulted in the council reaching a decision whereby Jan has been refused services'.
