Details of the membership of the Criminal Justice Forum have been announced by Scottish secretary Michael Forsyth.

The forum will bring together prominent names from a wide range of criminal justice agencies, all of who have day to day experience of working in the criminal justice system. Its aim is to seek improvements to the working of the criminal justice system through better understanding and joint consideration of issues.

Among the list of members is Sandy Cameron, director of social work at South Lanarkshire Council.

The forum will be chaired by the secretary of state and will meet regularly. The first meeting will take place before the end of the year.
