Major education cutbacks could be on the way in Somerset with up to 200 jobs at risk, the Western Morning News reports (p1).

According to the WMN documents show that £5.6m of cutbacks may be needed because the county is facing the worst budget crisis in its history. In a worst case scenario action would include the ending of discretionary student grants, capital spending and assisted boarding places.
