The Times Educational Supplement (p5) reports that the turnover rate in grant-maintained schools is far above that of local authority schools and has hit a record high in opted out primaries.

The paper says that the sector, which saw massive growth in the first part of the decade is now losing staff from both primary and secondary schools.

Figures from the Local Government Management Board say that schools in the South east and East Anglia are hardest hit.
