A planning row between Teeside Development Corporation and Stockton BC is threatening up to 300 jobs, the Northern Echo reports (p40).

TDC is seeking a judicial review of Stockton's decision to give the go ahead for a major shopping development because it says the council did not advertise the application publicly, nor did it properly consult with Cleveland CC and the environment department.

However, a Stockton BC spokesman told the paper that they were confident their decision was both fair and correct and that the development would be a boost for the area's economy.
