Strathclyde's £500,000 publicity campaign to fight for its survival in the face of imminent restructure suffered a setback yesterday when a broadcasting authority banned a television commercial, the Scotsman reports (p4).

The Broadcast Advertising Clearance Centre followed Independent Television Commission guidelines in saying the region's commercial could not be screened because it was being used for a political purpose.
