The British public would like to be better informed about the EU, according to a Gallup survey.

More than three quarters would like to know more about the impact of the EU in their region (77%) and employment and jobs (76%).

MEPs and MPs topped the list of those expected to do more to provide information.

Head of the Representation of the European Commission in London Geoffrey Martin said the findings showed constituents looked to MPs in Westminster for informed leadership on Europe.
