Swansea Councillors who are set to introduce uniformed guards onto troubled housing estates will travel to Stockton-on Tees today to learn from a similar scheme operating there, reports the Western Mail (p7).

The Stockton experiment has been so successful, says the paper, that all the town's council estates now have warden patrols.
