Three local authorities in the north east of Scotland have joined forced to help business, local communities and council departments benefit from European funding, The Scotsman reports (p4).

The unit, European Services for North East Scotland, has been established by Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray councils to provide advice on maximising access to an estimated £50m of European funding which will be available in to the area until 1999.
