Tourism boss mounts fourth plinth as a pigeon

The biggest pigeon seen in London’s Trafalgar Square has been City of Bradford MDC’s tourism chief Jane Glaister

The authority’s strategic director for culture, tourism and sport dressed up as one of 2,400 people to be allocated an hour on the 22ft structure as part of sculptor Antony Gormley’s One & Other project.

Her contribution was in a personal capacity rather than a profressional one.

She wrote in a blog on the One & Other website states: “I just loved the idea of the serendipity and the discipline which this project combines and wanted to be part of a national piece of art that makes me smile.”

The local newspaper’s website has a still frame taken by the video camera during Ms Glaister’s hour-long stint.
