Local authorities in Rhymney and Cynon Valleys plan partnership deals with the Cardiff Bay Corporation to bridge the economic, social and racial divide, reports The Western Mail (p2).

A partnership agreement notes that Cardiff Bay could soon have more jobs than workers, while many are still unemployed in the Valleys.

Cardiff Bay executives say that even as a twinning agreement the partnerships offer excellent value for money to local authorities, the paper reports.

Cynon Valley BC's chief executive Tony Roberts said there are vital economic issues.
