Llangollen voters may get to decide by postal ballot whether they wish to remain as part of Denbighshire or transfer into Wrexham County Borough, the Daily Post reports (Welsh edition, p11).

Amid fears that if Llangollen does transfer the county may eventually be split up between neighbouring authorities, a postall ballot is being considered to settle the issue.

Llangollen Town Council will decide whether to carry out a referendum in two weeks. It could go ahead before Christmas.

A joint Denbighshire-Llangollen delegation visited the Welsh Office last month but failed to get assurances that a boundary review would not take place.
