The Western Mail (p7) reports that Ronnie King, head of the Mid and West Wales fire brigade,is asking for an extra o250,000 from the government. Without it, ageing fire stations will crumble to the point where they can no longer be repaired and might have to be demolished. He claimed the government's allocation for building maintenance was 'poor to say the least'.
