Welsh secretary William Hague has told the Commons he expects to receive a copy of the suppressed report into abuse in Clwyd children's homes, and will then consider whether to take any action as a result of its contents (WA 28 March col 720).

Responding to a question from Labour MP for Cardiff West, Rhodri Morgan, asking the secretary of state if he would obtain and evaluate a copy of John Jilling's report, Mr Hague said:

'I understand that Clwyd CC has decided to refer Mr Jilling's report to the department. I shall consider what action, if any, to take on it once we have received it.'
