Polls to decide whether licensed premises in Wales should open on Sunday will be held in two Welsh counties.

The home secretary, after consultation with the Weslh secretary, has directed that the polls will be held on Wednesday 6 November 1996.

The two areas where polls will be held are Gwynedd and Rhondda Cynon Taff.

-- Under the provisions of the Licensing Act 1964, a poll can be held every seven years if 500 or more local government electors in a particular county or county borough give notice to the council.
