Gwynedd CC is being forced to use new Welsh language words to describe women who do 'men's jobs', the Western Mail reports (P1).

The Equal Opportunities Commission wants the Welsh language to fall into line with English, where adverts for jobs like 'postman' are already banned.

Val Feld, the EOC commissioner for Wales said the words used in and advert can have a considerable effect on whether individuals try for jobs.

'This debate is just beginning in Wales. Individuals can feel very strongly about it', she said.
