London mayor Ken Livingstone has accused Liberal Democrat members of the Greater London Assembly of reporting him to the Standards Board for England for political reasons.

'The Liberal Democrats don't want to see the rift between me and the Labour party heal', he told BBC Radio Four's Today programme. They think that keeping alive the controversy over whether he misbehaved at a party will help them in London polls, he said.

'The other parties on the assembly have accepted the undertakings I've given them on this', he said.
