The Transport and General Workers Union today issued a pamphlet which aims to estimate the impact of the Government public sector pay policy and expenditure cuts.

'Industrial action is inevitable,' said T&G general secretary, Bill Morris at the launch of 'The Big Squeeze'. One in four workers will suffer from the pay policy and spending power in up to a third in some localities would be seriously eroded, he warned.

The pamphlet contains a detailed breakdown on the impact of Government policy on local economies and is available from the T&G on request.
